The Semi-Hidden
Stories of Amsterdam - PART 2

By Elisa Morand and Kira Guehring | July 14, 2021

Following up from their last photo story, photographers Elisa Morand and Kira Guehring provide more locations of the bookshelves scattered around Amsterdam.

Amsterdam is more than the Red Light District and canals. There are many hidden treasures among the city’s streets, one of them being the mini libraries tucked away in random street corners, alleyways and on the sides of houses. You can take a book, leave a book and contribute in making the world a happier, more wholesome place.

In a recent photo story, two of The Amsterdammer’s photographers showcased some of these bookshelves. There are simply too many libraries and stories to feature, so this photo story has been split into multiple pieces, and like the last one, the locations will be included in the captions to make them easier to locate.
